With frigid temperatures descending on Northeast Arkansas, the City of Jonesboro announced its warming centers, as well as the Salvation Army’s overnight shelter, are open.
Arkansas State University was the home of many Martin Luther King Day celebrations, including high school band performances, song and dance routines from local groups, and a keynote speaker presentation.
The theme for the 23rd annual celebration was “Mission Possible: Protecting Freedom, Justice & Democracy in the Spirit of Nonviolence.”
