Families’ interest in their kids’ education is falling in many high-income countries as school systems struggle with plunging test scores, according to newly released results from a standardized test taken by 15-year-olds around the world.
Guest speaker Dale Clark, a local Master Gardener, highlighted various projects the organization takes on to beautify and support the region.
The mobile office will be set up at the Jonesboro Municipal Center Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The service is free.
“The money that we do raise from this golf scramble, we will put it back into investing in our kids that we see throughout the year,” said D.A.R.E. officer Lynae Prater.
The Foundation of Arts’ Stage, Too venue has announced several free events and shows scheduled throughout September.
The library will resume regular hours on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
